Atlas Copco has announced the launch of the XB
range, a new generation of cordless nut runners designed to support smart manufacturing
and enhance assembly performance. The XB range combines speed and precision,
making it an ideal solution for manufacturers beginning their journey toward
Smart Integrated Assembly.
The new range includes two all-electric tools: the
XCB, a mechanical clutch tool built for standard applications, and the XTB, a
torque transducer tool designed for quality-critical applications.
Designed for ease of use, the XB tools are ready to
perform from the moment they are unpacked. Operators simply need to insert the
battery, set their torque preferences, and begin working.
The tools feature a clear and intuitive Human
Machine Interface (HMI) that enables operators to easily access essential
information. The system provides clear OK/NOK signals, helping operators stay
in control and maintain tightening accuracy throughout the assembly process.
The XCB delivers minimum reaction force and re-hit
detection, making it ideal for tightening multiple joints to the same torque.
For applications involving different torque levels and joint stiffness, the XTB
offers multiple tightening programs with torque control and angle monitoring to
ensure precision.
Built with the operator in mind, the all-electric XB
range delivers cordless freedom without compromising precision or power. The
cordless design allows operators to move freely across workstations and access
tight or hard-to-reach spaces more easily.
The XB tools are designed for durability and
operator comfort, featuring an ergonomic handle, lightweight design, and calibrated
balance that help minimize strain during use. Easy to set up and intelligent in
operation, the XB range offers manufacturers both freedom and control —
striking the right balance between performance and intelligence for everyday
assembly applications.
