The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Government of India, and Eicher Trucks & Buses, a business unit of VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the Scheme for Support to NCRPB for Replacement of old trucks and buses in Delhi-NCR Area. The partnership aims to accelerate the replacement of older, polluting commercial vehicles with cleaner BS-VI and electric vehicles.

Under the MoU, Eicher Trucks & Buses will extend benefits to eligible customers, including an 8.0 per cent discount on the ex-showroom price of eligible vehicles purchased under the scheme. Eligible beneficiaries will also be able to avail additional incentives under the scheme, including support on motor vehicle tax, registration fees, interest subvention and fuel benefits, subject to the applicable eligibility criteria.
