The demand for asphalt plants and pavers in India is growing right now. Here is what is driving it: The government's massive infrastructure push through programs like Bharatmala Pariyojana is creating highways and expressway projects that need quality paving equipment. Plus, with rapid urbanization and smart city development, we are seeing huge investments in urban road networks.

Rural connectivity is another big factor – schemes like PMGSY are connecting remote villages, which means more road projects across the country. And, don't forget about the industrial expansion – new corridors, airports, and ports all need heavy-duty asphalt pavements.

Some specific factors I have observed include major connectivity projects for district roads, extensive resurfacing and strengthening of existing infrastructure, and ambitious expansion projects that are converting two-lane roads into four or even six-lane highways. All of these initiatives are creating substantial demand for asphalt mixing plants and related equipment.

Infrastructure demand drivers

We are seeing that highways and expressways are definitely the biggest demand drivers for asphalt equipment in India right now. The government's initiatives for upgrading national highways on a huge scale to connect cities, ports, and industrial areas, which demands heavy-duty paving work.

So, basically, it is highways leading the pack, followed by urban and rural roads, with industrial infrastructure rounding it out. All of this ties back to India's big infrastructure push and economic growth plans.

Technology innovations

In today’s road construction industry, digital technologies are no longer optional — they are essential. Dynapac integrates advanced solutions like Dynalink, Pavemanager, 3D Levelling, and Nexus into its pavers, ensuring contractors achieve the highest standards of performance, reliability, and road quality.

Dynalink (Telematics System): Provides real-time connectivity between the machine and the back office. It tracks machine location, fuel consumption, operating hours, and service needs, enabling proactive maintenance and reduced downtime. Dynalink empowers contractors with data-driven decision-making for improved fleet management.

Pavemanager: Acts as the operator’s control centre, monitoring and adjusting key paving parameters such as speed, layer thickness, and temperature. It ensures consistent mat quality and supports efficient communication between the paving team, leading to fewer errors and optimized workflow.

3D Levelling: Enhances accuracy in layer thickness and road profile by integrating with total stations or GNSS systems. It eliminates manual intervention, reduces material waste, and delivers a perfectly smooth surface — critical for high-performance roads and runways.

Nexus Precision Guidance System: Dynapac’s latest innovation, Nexus, offers modular precision guidance that can be used across different pre-equipped machines. With its Navigator display, GNSS receiver, intelligent node, and optional sensors, it ensures flexible adaptation, quick setup, and unmatched paving accuracy.

Together, these intelligent systems transform Dynapac pavers into smart, connected, and precision-driven machines. Contractors benefit from enhanced productivity, superior road quality, and reduced operating costs — meeting the growing demands of modern infrastructure projects.

In our Marini asphalt plants, we have Cybertronic – a digital plant management system, to respond to the needs of our clients, while also guaranteeing an exceptional level of technical support, accurate analysis of heat exchange flows, and optimal energy efficiency.

Marini Cybertronic offers significant advantages through its advanced automatic control of the drying process. By utilizing a physical model of the drying and filtering process, it ensures precise control of outlet temperatures, even with varying materials.

Its self-commissioning capability and dynamic RAP recipe generator further enhance efficiency by optimizing burner power, drum rotation speed, and RAP integration. This leads to stable temperature management, reduced energy loss, and minimized risk of system issues, making Cybertronic a game-changer in asphalt plant operations.

Steps taken in asphalt recycling Warm mix technology

Our Marini plants are upgraded with every change. Based on India market demand, Marini have introduced Warm mix asphalt, Recycling solution which can utilize up to 40-50 per cent RAP without a second drum, Mastic asphalt solutions, and multi fuel burner (Including gas).

Marini, on its global portfolio, has technologies which can be brought to India once the solutions become viable for India customer (like parallel drum) and the India eco system is ready to support customer and technology (like new software kit for CO2 reduction and optimization of the fuel consumption).

Measures are taken to reduce emissions, waste, and resource consumption throughout the equipment’s lifecycle as our plants are most fuel-efficient with a burner, completely manufactured at France by a global leader in burner technology. The tower type design of our plant ensures that the heat loss to environment is minimal. The recycling of heat and optimal use of burner makes the plant efficient and environment friendly.

We also make sure that customer is supported with burner tunning services and plant health check to ensure the plant remain efficient through the life.

Strengthen your market presence

We are significantly expanding our service network to ensure customers receive rapid support and genuine parts availability wherever they operate. We are also deepening our focus on digitalization and connectivity.

Our equipment increasingly features IoT capabilities, predictive maintenance systems, and fleet management solutions that help contractors optimize productivity and reduce operating costs. This positions us not just as equipment suppliers, but as technology partners.
