Ammann ELBA CC150 Plants power 56 km Nashik–Aurangabad highway upgrade

Ammann India has announced the successful application of the ELBA CC150 concrete batching plants in recently upgraded Nashik–Niphad–Yeola–Vaijapur–Aurangabad Road (MSH-2), a 56 km highway stretch being developed under EPC-59 for the Public Works Department (PWD), Maharashtra. The brownfield project involves widening the existing two-lane road to four lanes while converting the pavement from bituminous to rigid concrete.

With a project cost of approximately INR 560-crore, executed by GHV (India) Pvt. Ltd. in a joint venture with SB Deshmukh and Forcon Infra Pvt. Ltd. used ELBA CC150 batching plants supplied by Ammann, deployed at the site by Nashik- based M/s. Bramghiri Infra LLP. At the core of the project’s execution were two ELBA CC150 concrete batching plants supplied by Ammann India.

Commissioned on 3 July 2025, these plants served as the sole batching solution for the entire stretch, each delivering a production capacity of 130 m³ per hour. Together, they produced approximately 165,000 cubic metres of concrete, including Dry Lean Concrete (DLC), Pavement Quality Concrete (PQC), and structural grades ranging from M10 to M30.

The deployment demonstrated the efficacy of high-capacity batching technology in brownfield infrastructure projects, where space constraints, continuous traffic management, and phased construction demand consistent and reliable output. The ELBA CC150 plants enabled uninterrupted production cycles, precise material control, and uniform mix quality which are critical factors in achieving durable concrete pavements within tight project timelines.

The plant setup included separate storage sections for different sizes of stone and sand, along with large silos to store cement and GGBS. It also used automated systems to move materials smoothly through the plant, helping avoid delays and keeping production running continuously.
