ACE and Kato Works Co., Ltd. join hands

Joint Venture (50:50) company ‘ACE KATO’ to manufacture Truck Cranes, Crawler Cranes, and Rough Terrain Cranes.

ACE (Action Construction Equipment Ltd.), the world’s largest Pick-and-Carry crane manufacturer and India’s leading material handling and construction equipment company, has entered into a strategic joint venture with Kato Works Co., Ltd., Japan, a globally recognised material handling and construction equipment company with decades of experience in design, development and manufacturing of Mobile Cranes, Excavators, and related Construction Machinery. The JV – ‘ACE KATO Pvt. Ltd.’ – will bring together the global technology, design, and engineering expertise of Kato Works Co., Ltd. with Action Construction Equipment Limited’s strong manufacturing base, extensive market reach, and operational capabilities in India.

The joint venture will involve a total investment of approximately INR200-crore, with an equal 50:50 partnership. The manufacturing facility will be established in Haryana, with operations expected to commence in 2026.

Under this partnership, the joint venture will focus on the manufacturing of high capacity and heavy cranes, including Truck cranes, Crawler cranes, and Rough Terrain cranes, serving the Indian market as well as international markets.

Beyond meeting domestic demand, the joint venture aims to explore export opportunities across Asia, the Middle East, Africa and other international markets.
