JNPA signs MoU with NMDC Group PJSC for Badhavan Port Project Ltd.
Proposed investment of INR 21,000-crore for the development of coastal land in Badhvan Port.
Jawaharlal Nehru Port has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Badhavan Port Project Limited, establishing an important cooperation of NMDC Group with PJSC (formerly National Marine Dredging Company PJSC). The MoU documents were exchanged between JNPA Chairman and Chief Managing Director and Chairman of Badhavan Port Authority Limited Unmesh Sharad Wagh (IRS), and Yasser Zaghloul.
As per the MoU, NMDC Group PJSC has proposed an investment of INR 21,000-crore to develop coastal land in Badhavan port through dredging, filling, processing, and coastal protection.
Earlier, several MoUs for VPPL were signed in the presence of Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, and Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Shantoon Thakur during their visit to Jawaharlal Nehru Port.
